    <title>SYM Joymax 125 and 300cc return to the UK</title>
    <link>https://www.motoworksnorfolk.co.uk/news/sym-joymax-125-and-300cc-return-to-the-uk</link>
    <description>
Brand new 2021 Euro 5 Model
MotoGB is proud to mark the SYM Joymax coming to the UK, which also sees a return of SYM&#039;s larger displacement scooters that have been absent in the UK for some time.

The Joymax Z+ comes in both 125 and 300cc both of which use liquid-cooled engines, which both give excellent performance and place the new 2021 Joymax as a firm competitor for other large frame maxi scooters.

SYM has given a nice spec on the Joymax with both the 125 and 300 having hydraulic disc brakes and twin adjustable rear shocks. An ample under-seat compartment can accommodate two large helmets with room left to spare, which also features a hydraulic seat lifter and interior light. The 300cc version also comes with traction control.

The Joymax is practical but incredibly stylish with a clean, aggressive look, LED DRL&#039;s and headlight, a sculptured ergonomic seat that can accommodate two people easily, and a combined digital and analogue instrument cluster that lights up a cool shade of blue.

Other features which you would expect are also present, such as USB 3 fast-charging socket, Hazard warning lights and a very functional adjustable front screen.

The Joymax does not disappoint in the performance department either, with the 125cc version coming with 14.8 BHP and a top speed of 65mph and the 300 having 26.2 BHP and a top speed of 85mph.

The Joymax is sure to be a firm favourite with those who want to commute by scooter and, thanks to the liquid-cooled engines, is also suitable for those who have to travel longer distances. I can also see this being popular with delivery riders due to the incredible amount of storage. Add a top box and the load-carrying capability of the Joymax are akin to some small cars. Not to mention if you spend a lot of time riding for a living, then it&#039;s nice to have the added comfort, space, and creature comforts a maxi-scooter has to offer.

I can also see the 125cc version being popular with the younger riders, who are often put off by the small size and lack of cool factor with more traditional scooters.

<description>It&#039;s not an easy task to make a good motorcycle or scooter
Every motorcycle or scooter deserves to be treated with care and respect, and those values are within everyone who works at SYM.

It&#039;s not an easy task to make a good motorcycle or scooter
The birth of every vehicle first starts with the technical development and the R &amp; D team. It has to be assembled first by the senior technicians in the factory who pass on their knowledge to the rest of the team before full-scale production begins.

One crucial factor is stressed to the workers within the factory that each vehicle will play an essential part in the customer lives. Upon the customer taking delivery, everything needs to be perfect to ensure the end-user is happy.

From frame powder coating to body panel Painting and engine assembly, great pride is taken, and a thorough vehicle inspection is done before being shipped to distributors and dealers across the globe.

It&#039;s a complicated process and never simple, but SYM aim for 100% perfection every time.

The senior management team, master technicians, and apprentice staff take great pride when they see a SYM owner out on the road. With a heart full of pride, knowing they aim to make some of the best motorcycles and scooters at the most competitive price without sacrificing on the final quality.

Above are just a few reasons why the SYM brand is trusted worldwide and has many happy customers using their SYM for work, commuting or just for fun.

<title>GSX-R125 fills top three spots in Freetech Endurance 24 hour</title>
    <link>https://www.motoworksnorfolk.co.uk/news/gsx-r125-fills-top-three-spots-in-freetech-endurance-24-hour</link>
<description>Suzukis GSX-R125 filled the top three positions in the Streetstock class in last weekends inaugural Freetech Endurance 24 hour race at Teesside Autodrome.

Team RST (2) complete with classic Suzuki-inspired livery took the Streetstock and overall race victory. Composed of Hudson Kennaugh, Jonny Towers, Warren Guantario, and Shane Norval, Team RST completed 986 laps in the 24 hours.

Second place went to Team Fast and Loud (32), while Suzuki Racing by 44 Teeth (1) the reigning champions and running the number one plate finished third in the Streetstock class and fourth overall.

As well as filling the class podium, six Streetstock-spec GSX-R125s finished inside the overall top 10.

In the Streetstock class, modifications are limited. The standard engine is housed in the original chassis, with changes only permitted to bodywork and lighting, front fork internals and the rear shock, and the fitment of a racing exhaust system. Fuelling can be adjusted to suit.

The race began at midday on Saturday 3 July with the rain arriving just in time to ensure full wet conditions around the circuit. Despite breaks in the weather, wets remained the tyres of choice until the evening.

As the sun set teams began setting faster times on a dry track, but more rain would arrive in the early hours of Sunday morning, resulting in another switch to wet tyres for a brief number of rider stints. As the sun rose, it was back to slicks until the chequered flag was waved at midday on Sunday 4 July.

Team RST controlled the race from the front, with a drama-free outing seeing them cruise to victory. Behind, the tricky conditions saw a number of crashes, including two for the reigning champions. Suzuki Racing by 44 Teeth once crashed of their own volition, before also being involved in a collision with another rider, giving them work to do to ensure a podium finish.

    <title>SUZUKI ANNOUNCES UPDATED BURGMAN 400</title>
    <link>https://www.motoworksnorfolk.co.uk/news/suzuki-announces-updated-burgman-400</link>
<description>Suzuki has announced details of an updated Burgman 400, with the now Euro 5 compliant version of the original maxi-scooter boasting traction control, Suzukis Easy Start System, and updated instrument cluster, plus changes to its 400cc single-cylinder engine including a new twin-plug cylinder head, piston, and injectors.

Launched in 1998, the Burgman 400 carved out a new market for large displacement scooters, combining comfort, power, style, and practicality. Updated for the 2006 and 2018 model years, the latest iteration further improves on the proven and solid platform.

A revised engine produces well balanced low-midrange torque with improved throttle control, courtesy of a number of changes.

A new twin-plug cylinder head with simultaneous ignition timing provides strong power delivery, increases combustion efficiency, and aids fuel consumption. As an added bonus, adjusted ignition timing also results in easier engine startup and a more stable idle. The change additionally contributes to high combustion speed and reduces the possibility of engine knocking in the upper speed range. Consequently, ignition timing can be set to a timing at which power is produced more easily, thereby increasing top speed. A new secondary air pathway helps meet Euro 5 emissions standards.

There are revised cam profiles, and the injectors have changed from 16-hole to 10-hole injectors, resulting in more miniscule fuel droplets and increased air agitation, improving fuel consumption. A new catalytic converter increases the number of catalysts from one to two, further purifying exhaust gases.

One of the biggest changes to the updated Burgman 400 comes in the form of a traction control system, which benefits riding in slippery conditions and pulling away briskly from a complete stop. Meanwhile stopping is helped with a new ABS unit, which is also 36g lighter than the previous unit.

Practicality is maintained through 42 litres of underseat storage, plus an additional 6.3 litres of storage thanks to compartments upfront, the right hand side of which also houses a 12V socket for charging electronic devices.

The addition of Suzukis Easy Start System requires just one brush of the starter button to fire the engine, removing the need to hold the button down.

Cutaway footboards make it easier to get feet flat on the floor, and a plush seat with adjustable lumbar support makes for a comfortable ride. LED running lights, headlights, and taillights provide excellent nighttime visibility, while also enhancing the maxi-scooters stylish design.

Security features come in the form of Suzukis Advanced Immobiliser System (SAIS) and a magnetic cover that protects the ignition barrel and opens only for the owners key. A chain gate allows the rider to pass a chain lock through the bodywork, around the frame, and then around a pole or other immovable object.

The updated Burgman 400 will be available from authorised Suzuki dealerships in the summer, and will come in matte silver, matte black, and iron grey, all complete with blue rims.
