We specialise in the supply and procurement of quality used motorcycles and scooters. Delivering direct to customers all over Great Britain. We have a very well equipped workshop to service and repair all motorcycles, we no longer carry out MOT Tests on site, however Ed tests them nearby at another MOT Test station.
Motoworks has evolved over the last fifteen years having previously been franchise dealers for Suzuki, KTM, Benelli and SYM, but deciding to streamline the business and concentrate on the pre-owned market. When contacting Motoworks you will speak to Alex or Ed (the founder) who are both passionate about motorcycles and enjoy riding both classic and modern motorcycles, on and off road.
The Story Behind Motoworks
Motoworks was founded in Cambridge by Ed Upward, whose career in the motorcycle industry began straight after leaving school. Starting out as an apprentice in a Yamaha and Vespa dealership, Ed worked his way up through the ranks, becoming After Sales Manager at just 22 for a well-established multi-franchise motorcycle dealer in Cambridge.
With a desire to forge his own path in the industry, Ed opened his own shop in the heart of Cambridge. Over the next 10 successful years, Motoworks grew from an initial stock of just two motorcycles to holding over 75 bikes in stock and selling more than 300 motorcycles in a single year. During this time, the business also achieved industry recognition, winning the Suzuki Dealer of the Year award in 2018.
Having started his career in the workshop, Ed has always believed that after-sales care and customer service should be at the heart of the business. As the motorcycle industry has evolved, so too has Motoworks, with the business now specialising in high-quality used motorcycles and offering a convenient remote buying experience, with delivery direct to customers' doorsteps.
Now based in North Norfolk, Motoworks operates with a small, dedicated team and takes pride in doing things differently. Rather than following the warehouse-style approach adopted by many larger retailers, our focus remains on carefully selected motorcycles, attention to detail and a more personal buying experience. We believe that buying a motorcycle should be about more than simply choosing a bike from a large stock list; it should be about finding the right machine and receiving the knowledge, care and service to go with it.
Ed's experience and keen eye for detail ensure that quality remains a priority, while outstanding customer service continues to underpin everything Motoworks does.
